The "List"

THE FIRST ADVENTURE WE ARE CROSSING OFF THE LIST..
GEORGIA SECTION OF THE A.T.

We all have done it. We all have this crazy little list (or big for some) that we have either written down or have in our heart and heads of the things we want to do before we can't. The list of sunsets or sunrises over a crest, the beach you always wanted to walk, the trail that calls your name, the canyons that haunt your dreams. Maybe you are crossing them off alone one by one, or with your spouse. Maybe you go somewhere on that list once a year, or you haven't even started crossing places off the list yet....However it happens...the truth is... most of us all have "THE LIST"

Long story short..  We are embarking on our bucket list adventures. Bottom line is .. we aren't getting any younger. We have had our hearts set on doing the things on our list for years but for bad timing, mishaps, kids, moves, and life itself, we have been putting it off.  Recently Reality came knocking and it knocked hard! We had an awakening that you don't live forever and your health doesn't care about your future plans, so get out there while you can!

We are about to set off on our biggest "LIST" adventure yet! The Appalachian Trail.  We have always wanted to hike the GA section of the trail. We are GA natives so it seems a little unorthodox to not have a least hiked that section of the famous trail.
So here we are. Getting our 40 year old bodies back in the type of shape it takes to conquer this quest. We are going to take one step at a time, one foot in front of the other, and see how far this adventure can actually take us. We are hoping one day it will take us all the way to Maine one section at a time (#jobs #kids) but we will start with the Victory of finishing the Georgia section. GA to NC, 80 miles of hiking the, some say, hardest part of the Appalachian Trail south of the Mason Dixon line.  Our plan is to step off in October and hike for 9 full days. If it takes 10 to 11 days, then so be it! But this accomplishment is NUMBER ONE on the bucket list. We hope ya'll join us as we take on this challenge and share with you our experience and make you laugh, give you inspiration, and bring a little joy in your lives.
