Recently, as I was cleaning our back porch, I accidentally hurt a toad by catching his leg under a piece of furniture. I helped him as much as I could but opted to leave him be to heal on his own. As days passed, I continued to look for him but couldn't find him. A week later, he came hopping across our porch. His leg was healing but still visibly hurt. Fast forward to a month later and he still hangs out on our porch, greeting us almost every night. We built him a little pond and named him Chubbs.
